Well, better late than never.
This Saturday, November 22nd, the Department will be having our first official Pop Up Caravan at the Public Inn in Huntsville, Alabama from 12-4. To say we're excited is a bit of an understatement. My kitchen table is littered with pink and orange plastic streamers, the porch is carefully staged, my phone is buzzing off the hook, and my hands may be permanently coated in gold spray paint. Friends and family are lending their time and talents as the anticipation builds.
The days leading up to this sale have been a bit of a blur but each night, as I stroll past the carefully stacked piles of scarves and jewelry at the foot of my bed, the familiar smells of Indian marketplaces greet my nose and I collapse.
This is what I've dreamed about.
And, honestly, of all of the places I've traveled, there is nowhere I'd rather be this Saturday than at our first Pop Up Caravan.

For our debut sale, we've collected a unique assortment of items directly from India. Styles, textures, colors, and prices will vary and we're waiting with baited breath to see what sells out first. As a collection, these items display just a beautiful slice of the culture in India. Mixed metals, bells, mirrored scarfs - it's all here and there truly is something for everyone. Also joining us will be local vendors Lucy's Lockets, Piper and Leaf Tea, and Owl Tree Bakery. We've even booked a Henna artists to lend her skills to our guests. You do not want to miss this!
